Our offices are located within a Grade II Listed Building, which Matthew and his wife Catrina purchased and carefully renovated / restored from top to bottom back in 2005.
This property, Bank House, has significant history, as it was owned and lived in by a famous local female author Allen Raine, who supposedly wrote many of her books whilst living at the property.
Bank House is located within the Market Town of Newcastle Emlyn, which is also a Conservation Area, and as such on this project we gained significant experience of working with both Listed Buildings and within a Conservation Area.
We are very proud of the completed restoration of this building, which now accommodates three separate business units, of which Castle Architectural Design is one, plus a two bedroom private residential flat.
Since this time we have completed numerous other Listed Building projects, ranging from Grade II Coach House conversions into dwellings through to complete renovations of existing listed dwellings and re-vamping of Grade II Listed Public Houses. We have also successfully worked on many dwellings which are Listed Buildings, where clients have wanted to add extensions and the like or possibly make internal alterations to the building.
Similarly we have worked on and completed numerous projects within Conservation Areas, such as Town Improvement Grant Schemes to improve properties and shops within the Conservation Area of Newcastle Emlyn.
