Garage and Carport

A large 2 bay Car-port and attached enclosed single garage in Newcastle Emlyn.
Open section of Carport structure is formed entirely from Douglas Fir, comprising chunky 200 x 200mm (8” x 8”) vertical posts, supporting a 200 x 250mm (8” x 10”) eaves beam, complete with curved ‘knees’.

All joints are traditionally mortise & tenon jointed together secured with hardwood pegs.

Ridge was designed off centre to afford a larger area to the rear roof slope to accommodate an integrated 4Kw solar.
